Data Scientist creating data into services
As our new Data Scientist you will be a central player in defining the analytics services that will help our utility customers to perform data-driven decisions regarding optimizing the production and distribution of energy and water.
We already have access to tons of meter and sensor data just waiting to be transformed into meaningful insights. You will be a key player in a dedicated team that is currently building Kamstrup’s online service platform including analytics services.
More specific you will be responsible for:
• Driving research projects together with key customers
• Analyze data into new insights using time series analysis, graph algorithms and machine learning techniques
• Create prototype applications for our customers in Shiny or Dash
To be successful in the position it is therefore important that you have extensive experience in one of the following languages; R, Python, Matlab or Julia.
You have a Ph.D. or Masters degree in mathematics, physics, data science, economics or similar education with focus on numerical analysis. Preferably, you have professional experience from the utility or smart city business areas. Beyond your technical capabilities, you strive for results and dare challenge our existing solutions while remaining professional in doing so.
We are looking for a person who finds it motivating to prototype and develop products in a team setup. You are able to lead research projects and work towards a given goal. Furthermore, you can plan and execute your own research projects and seek new knowledge on your own. You are able to translate business goals into research projects and prioritize your work to ensure the most benefit to Kamstrup's customers.
You are fluent in English – both oral and written. Danish will be an asset, but not a requirement.
