A position as part-time lecturer at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Department of Strategic Management and Globalization (SMG), in the field of strategic and international management is available for appointment as soon as possible.

The position in question is temporary and part-time for a fixed term of three years with the possibility of two three-year extensions.

SMG employs an international group of 24 faculty members, including 9 PhD students (stipends and industrial). The core research and teaching area of the Department is strategic and international management. This includes themes like the creation and implementation of global strategies, HQ-subsidiary relations, offshoring and internationalization of firms, the role of individuals and teams in knowledge-based competitive advantage, strategic entrepreneurship, strategic alliances, strategic risk management, and the impact of informal and formal structures on firm performance and innovation.

The position involves:

  • teaching within the area of strategic and international management, including advanced behavioral economics
  • supervision of students
  • preparation of course materials and examinations
  • participation in the examination

The normal qualifications are a relevant master’s degree and additional qualifications such as particular specialties and knowledge, especially practical experience or other special qualifications at a high level within the area of strategic and international management. Emphasis will be placed on practical and relevant teaching experience. Educational qualifications will be a consideration in the assessment. A specific requirement is that teaching, instruction and examinations can be performed in English.

Terms of employment

Salary and appointment will be in accordance with the circular on external lecturers in universities and other educational institutions under the Ministry of Education. The hours of work are minimum 100 and maximum 500 per academic year, and they can be varied as required in the individual semesters. The number of hours is specified twice a year, and remuneration is paid on this basis. The new employee must be willing to take a pedagogical course arranged by CBS and participate in lecturer meetings.
